Processing past emotions with energy healing

I recently had a conversation with someone where we were discussing different ways people “deal” with past traumas and childhood stuff and ways we can move forward despite what has happened to us in our past.

This person said that they work hard on acceptance.  When they feel they can accept what happened to them in the past, then they can focus on moving forward.  They felt that nothing they could do would change the past, so they just accepted all the “crappy” things and then just tried to forget and move on.

While I applaud their self-awareness I wasn’t exactly on the same page.

In my experience we need to fully process our past experiences before we can “move on”.  And yes, acceptance is a part of processing but it is just a very small part of the process.

Our soul is here in an earth body to collect experiences and our soul cannot collect an experience if it has not been fully felt, pulled apart, examined, and completely understood by its human.  Knowledge leads to understanding and when something is understood by the human, not just in the mind but with a full body emotional experience of the event, then the soul can finally collect its prize which is the experience.

Just simply accepting that something happened to us is not enough.  That experience will be held in the body until it is processed.  If we hold too many of these unprocessed experiences inside of us then we get “full up” and go into shutdown mode to prevent us from taking on anymore of life’s experiences until we process what we already have stored.  It is like we are a bucket that is full to overflowing with unprocessed experiences, and we will literally overflow if we try to store anything new.  Shutdown mode can look like depression, dementia, and all sorts of other mental health problems.  We might also get physical health problems from the area of the body that we are holding the energy of these unprocessed experiences.

Processing our emotional past involves being willing to feel the feelings that we weren’t able to understand or handle at the time of the life event.  We may have been too young to understand what was going on, or there may have just been too much trauma and stress for us to handle everything at once, and so we stored the experience deep inside of us for later.

Processing at the level of the human mind can be very tough work (counselling, talk therapy etc) and while it is helpful in bringing knowledge and understanding to a situation, using a higher consciousness through energy healing can be more effective and more pleasant.  When we take a situation from our conscious mind and bring our higher mind or higher energies into the picture then we expand our perspective on the situation, we see the bigger picture, put more of the puzzle pieces together of why something happened and the processing becomes much easier.  It feels like we get ourselves out of the mud and the stickiness of our trauma or memory, and utilize the higher brighter energy to shine a light on what we need to know to fully feel, process and understand.

I have had clients referred to me by counsellors who know that the persons problems can’t be solved by talking alone.  These clients can move through the issue with more ease and speed with energy work – making the most of the previous counselling which has brought an issue to the surface, ready for the healing energy to bring a new perspective and to move it through the person.

Once we have fully processed a past event or issue, then we tend to forget it.  Because it is no longer held in our body or our mind  - it has been “stored” and “collected” by our soul.  If we can fully feel the emotions surrounding an event or situation at the time that it occurs, we can avoid this whole process – so that is something to aim for in the future.
