11:11

This is an article I wrote in 2011 which I feel is still relevant to many people who also see number sequences, so I want to share it here again:

The 11th November 2011(11/11/11) is very close.  All around the world people are realising the significance of this date. 
I believe it is an opportunity for us all to step up in vibration, positive thoughts and love in our hearts to help this planet and the inhabitants of it.  In honour of this upcoming date I would like to share my 11:11 story.
From as early as I can remember I had a digital alarm clock next to my bed.  Many nights I would wake up, look at the time and it would be 11:11. I could sense that this was a sign from the unseen world.  This scared me.  My child mind called it the “witching hour”and I would hide under my bed covers until the clocked changed.  I was very scared of the unseen world that I could often sense and thought it was all evil. 

The pattern of seeing 11:11 continued throughout my life.  During the day digital clocks would read 11:11 (or even 1:11) when I glanced at them including the microwave in the kitchen or the clock in the car.  I would receive emails and look at the date stamp, 11:11 again.  It was no coincidence.  By the time I was in my late twenties the occurrence was daily and sometimes many times a day. The ones would be on numberplates, phone numbers, everywhere I looked!   I was starting to get very agitated and fearful of what these signs were.  Every night I would wake up (or was woken up!) and the clock would read 11:11.  I eventually told my husband who thought it was just random and because 11:11 looks unusual I was just remembering these number sequences whereas I was probably seeing other numbers equally as frequently.  I knew this was not random.  So to ease my worries he placed our bedroom tv remote in front of the alarm clock one night.  This way, if I woke up at night I wouldn’t be able to see what time it was.  At some stage that night we both woke with a fright as the tv remote
somehow flew across the room and landed with a crash against our cupboard.

 A few days later I booked in to have my first psychic reading.  She didn’t have an answer for me about 11:11 but remarked that my guides were happy I was finally having a reading so if seeing 11:11 was the push I needed to make this appointment, then maybe that was all it was about.

Although I didn’t get the answers I was seeking, the frequency of me seeing 11:11 did slow down after the reading.   Maybe acknowledging that it was significant and taking a step towards understanding it, was all I needed for now.

There have been other times since then that the frequency of my 11 sightings increases and it always leads me to investigate some more what it might all mean.  There are actually a lot of websites out there with theories about what seeing 11:11 means and a lot of people who see these numbers. 
Ellen DeGeneres is another person who sees 11:11 and I heard she has named her recording company “eleveneleven” in recognition of this occurrence.

Many of the theories about 11:11 centre on it being an“awakening” sign or a “wake up call”.  It is like when you see the number sequence it is a reminder from the universe to step up, get on with it, realise your life mission, face your fears and help humanity.  It has also been described as a gateway or portal.  The 11 looks like a doorway and if you choose to, the 11:11 invitation asks you to step through this doorway and take up the challenge of your life purpose.

My research into 11:11 also took me towards Numerology to help answer the question of the significance of 11.  11 is considered a master number (along with 22, the other master number).  Master numbers carry the highest vibration of all the numbers and challenge us to master our own lives.  In numerology we always look at the number when it is broken down into its single digit form.  So, 11 would be broken down by adding the 1s together ( 1+1=2).  So 11 also carries the vibration of the number 2, which is a very loving number (peace, love and harmony).  Perhaps taking up the challenge to walk through the doorway of the double 11s will ultimately bring peace, love and
harmony, not only to the individual but also to the planet.

 Numerology also explained that when people see number patterns they can look at their date of birth for explanations.  I was born on 28th January 1972.  28 breaks down to the number 1 (2+8=10, 1+0=1).  January is a 1 month. 1972 also breaks down to the number 1 (1+9+7+2=19, 1+9=10, 1+0=1).  So I was born on a 1 day, in a 1 month, in a 1 year.  Well, that might also explain why I see 1s everywhere!

Another explanation I found was: 11:11 – from duality into oneness. Folded it becomes 11.  Folded again it  becomes 1.

When I see 11:11 with regularity now, I know it  means to me that I need to step up.  That there are some things I am focusing on in my life which aren’t for my highest purpose.  I gratefully accept the wakeup call and reminder now, instead of being fearful and running from it like I did in the past.  It
also reminds me that I am not alone.  These signs are from a place of unconditional love and support. So yes, step up, but with full support and therefore no fear.

I also believe there must be people who are seeing 12:12 with regularity now.  As our planet ascends and shifts in energy we all have our individual roles to play which are all equally as important.  We will all have our own wake up calls that will shift us onto our path.  So whether you see 11s like me or not, you may still feel the significance of the upcoming date 11/11/11.  Mark this occasion by stepping up and accepting the doorway that is open to you with full support from the universe.

I have just realised that today is my daughter’s 11thbirthday – significant maybe that I also woke up this morning deciding I needed to write this story to share with others!!
