I walked around my beloved garden the other day after work which usually gives me a lot of joy, but instead I felt very very sad. I realised that as my family and I were contemplating selling our house and moving that I wouldn’t get to see the
fruit trees bud again or taste the fruit of the next season, or see the flowers bloom again. It was quite intense, and I could see how this kind of feeling could easily put the brakes on the change, but when I connected to soul the very strong message was to move forward and that the sadness wasn’t bad at all, it
was a way of letting go with love to bring in the new. But as humans we are afraid of feeling these feelings – we want everything to stay the same no matter
how much it sucks.
Usually my mind would kick in and start to interpret and analyse these feelings, firstly as a bad thing and maybe as a sign that we shouldn’t sell and move house. But this time I just allowed the emotions to flow without involving the mind, and it turned into a whole different experience. Emotions are not a bad thing. They are part of being human and need to be felt and expressed. The more we can do this consciously the healthier and clearer we will become.
When I shared the garden story with my friend Peter Peut, he came up with his own insights about what goes on between emotions and the mind…..
An emotion is a specific frequency of energy in one or more chakras in the etheric body. People “feel” these energies because they are a change in the normal chakra vibrations. Emotions or temporary energy shifts are a product of the etheric body and detected by the physical body. They have nothing to do with the mind. In a human with a ‘clean’ energy field, an emotion can be experienced by the physical body as just an experience.
The normal human mind sees its physical body feeling these energy shifts and tries to control them. Blocking sadness because it sees it as bad. Trying to prolong sadness because it thinks it deserves it. Blocking happiness because it thinks it doesn’t deserve it. Trying to prolong happiness because it feels good. The only thing the mind achieves interfering with emotions is breaking and fragmenting these energies . These broken bits of energy hang around and pollute the physical and etheric Bodies. Emotions gradually become muddied and unclear because of this. The etheric and physical bodies become diseased.
The human mind, from an early age, gradually kills its own physical body. Growing old and disease, in all its forms, are the result of the mind interfering in the natural process of the physical and etheric bodies. We all know the saying, “listen to your body”.This can be rephrased as “tell the mind to butt out and leave the physical body to do its own thing”.
The mind naturally tells the body what it would like to do. However the human mind takes this too far and tries to control and micro manage everything in the physical body. Time to“back off”.
I agree with Peter’s words. Next time you feel an emotion, don’t think about it, just feel it!
I believe that knowing who we are at our unique soul level holds the key to living an authentic and joyful life. Once we know who we are, we can begin to BE who we are, and then BECOME who we were always destined to be.
