When we know who we are at soul level and we have an awareness of our divine gifts that we are here to share with the world, we gain intimate knowledge about who we are. This knowledge gives us the power to make the choices that we need to make based on who we are. It is like this power gives us the responsibility to live as a divine being. It is up to us and the choices we make to live to our fullest potential. We are not puppets; we are divine beings with the power and knowledge to create whatever life we choose.
When we know who we are and then consciously make choices that go against our divine nature, life can get very uncomfortable. It is not that we are being punished it more like trying to row a boat upstream – it is hard work. Life can be so much easier and flow with so much grace if we make choices that are in alignment with who we are. When in alignment with our soul we do what makes our hearts overflow with joy and what creates that excitement that builds in the pit of our stomach. Life becomes a fun, creative adventure rather than an endless stretch of just getting through each day. So be warned, once you know your soul self, there is a responsibility to live as that soul self. It becomes more difficult to deny and pretend that you are someone else or to do something that is not aligned with who you are, just to maybe fit in or not rock the boat. Society wants us to be a certain way. It wants everyone to conform and follow the rules. If you start to break out of this mould and truly follow what your soul is longing to do, then this can and will upset people around you. But they will get over it. What they are really fighting is their own denial and resistance of doing and being what they truly long to be. So know who you are at soul level and then just be that!
