Have you ever asked yourself the questions
The good thing about asking these questions though, is that the answers always come, but often in very unexpected ways. It is an unravelling process of letting go of who we thought we were, based on social and family conditioning, our beliefs and what our ego wants us to know to feel safe. And then the information and pieces of who we really are start to filter into our awareness, usually through reading books, seeing spiritual advisors, numerology, astrology, or anything else that helps us start to understand who we are, from a level that is deeper than anything we have been aware of before. We start to find out what we are made of and why we are like we are. We maybe even start to get some clarity on why some of the things that have happened to us have happened, and why we keep attracting the same people or situations into our lives. This is a summary of how I see the process working: Know who you are by:
Once we start to get to know who we really are, then the most difficult step begins. This involves being who we are. It is all very well to gather and collect information about who we are, start to understand that we are more than our physical bodies, but what comes next is the hardest part. It takes a lot of courage to start making different choices that are in alignment with who we find out we are deep down inside. You may hear this information about how awesome you are and the possibilities in your life and agree and nod your head, but really it is up to you to step into this. To willingly and knowingly be the person that you now believe you are and can become more of. We need constant reminders about who we are and the possibilities that this opens up in our lives. Most of us lead very limited lives, only tapping into a fraction of the potential we are capable of, and that is OK because stepping fully into who you are is very scary. It means that you have to get out of your comfort zone and try new things, your ego will not like it, it will feel terrible at first and there will be a lot of trial and error. It is easy to find out about who you are (this is just collecting information), it is not so easy to then become who you are (this requires making new choices and taking some risks). It probably won’t happen overnight, but every action that we take that is in alignment with who we authentically are, will bring us closer to having all our dreams and goals fulfilled and feeling at peace with who we are.

AuthorI believe that knowing who we uniquely are and how we operate, holds the key to living an authentic and joyful life. Once we genuinely and deeply know who we are, we can begin to BE who we are, and then BECOME who we were always destined to be. howthemindworks.blog
