I recently enjoyed a family holiday (you may have seen some pictures I shared on Facebook). I paid a lot of attention to my energy field and body while on this holiday. I have been going through quite a large energy shift the last few months and because this last minute holiday felt so guided and fell into place so easily I had a suspicion it was going to create (or ground) some more energy shifts, so I was excited to see what would happen. Have you ever noticed that when you go on holiday your whole routine changes? What makes us feel so good on holiday is that we live in the now. There is a spontaneity or freedom that we create for ourselves. It is so liberating and such a change from the routines and demands of our normal schedule that it feels so amazing. I really paid attention to this. I have mentioned before about changing routines, getting unstuck from your current patterns, changing what you have always done, in order to attract something new into your life. When we are on holidays this is easy. What we look at every day in our environment changes, we usually eat different foods, take different transport, even try different activities. This really shakes up your energy field and lets lots of new opportunities start to come your way. But when you get home, the routine starts almost straight away - so how is it possible to keep this going? When we start a fitness programme, we know that we can’t lift weights once and then expect to see a lasting change in our muscle tone; we have to keep at it. So how can we keep the momentum going from a holiday? Very challenging! What I also noticed was how important FUN was to the soul and its ability to shine through physically. Again, this is something that has been given to me as advice many times over the years. Transforming your life can be hard work, all the changes and pushing though the resistance of old ways is very tiring, and it is anything but fun at times. But when you bring some light heartedness and fun in to it, it is so much easier. I really felt this on my holiday. I had so much fun – and it wasn’t just watching my kids have fun, I actually did more than I ever have before on a holiday. I spent the whole day going down waterslides, barefoot with no bags or towels, just going from one water slide to another with my family, and we had so much fun. The soul loves action and I could really feel how this was different than just having a laugh or sitting around relaxing and watching a funny movie. Yes, having a laugh lightens up the energy, but the physicality of doing something fun supercharged the energy shifts. All those resistance energies I have been working through for the last month just seemed to flow through my body easily. I also went swimming with the dolphins at SeaWorld. This was something on my bucket list but I didn’t actually realise they did this at SeaWorld, so wasn’t prepared to do it on this holiday (I always thought I would do it in Hawaii for some reason). My daughter and I enquired, found out how much it was and then decided we would do it maybe in a few years. That night I had a dream, which showed me how important it is to just take opportunities when they arise. Would I have more money in my bank account in a few years? Who knows? But the opportunity was here, so we made arrangements for the following day and had an amazing time! Again, taking action on something that is fun and good for your soul, can certainly raise your energy. The important point I wanted to make is that actioning the fun not only raises your energy vibration but it helps ground it or cement it into your physical body. Intuitive action through the body and with the body anchors those higher vibrations so they become part of you, not just something you can reach during meditative moments. So even if you can’t go away on holidays right now, find ways to have fun. Do something that moves your body and have fun while doing it. So difficult for us adults sometimes, but it is worth it!
